Provincial elections will be held in about a week across Québec. There have been lots of campaign signs posted about the streets of Montréal. I'm not eligible to vote so haven't scrutinized the issues deeply.
I found it a little surprising that there was a sign for the separatist Parti Québecois posted just outside the Vendôme metro station. The neighborhood where Vendôme is located is NDG, Notre Dame de Grâce. Despite the French name, it's a heavily anglophone part of town.
I didn't find it surprising that, given the location, somebody had defaced the sign, whitening out the candidate's eyes, adding a mustache, and scribbling graffiti on the poster.
